"The Look" is a professional five-piece variety band featuring sensational female and male lead vocalists and supporting vocals that round out our shows. Hitting the Twin Cities area music scene in 2017 (initially as "Tommy Gun"), we’ve continued to make a name for ourselves playing at events, weddings and local watering holes.
A group made up of long-time musical veterans, our love of music and experience putting on great shows shines through in our performances. Playing popular rock classics from the 70's, 80's through the 2000's, we deliver an energetic and fun show, that appeals to a wide variety of musical tastes.
We can provide a full sound and lights or use your in-house system. For booking please contact Daryl H. at 763-286-3288.
Adrianne Prettyman - Lead and Backing Vocals
Adrianne is a classically trained soprano and pianist who prefers to belt gritty vocals with her tambourine. After studying music business and vocal performance at the University of St. Thomas, she bought a one-way ticket to NYC and landed a job with Sony BMG. She learned a lot about the industry – the good, the bad, and the ugly – then shifted her career while remaining active in various music ensembles.
Upon returning to her Twin Cities roots, she performed in professional choral groups, was a featured vocalist in local cover bands, and served 2+ years as the soprano in vocal harmony group, Sawyer’s Dream, before joining The Look. She has also recently kicked off her current original indie rock project, Space Hug in 2021.
Joe Vitullo - Lead and Backing Vocals, Keyboards/Keytar, Saxophone
Joe is "West Philadelphia, born and raised" and has played in bands in the Philly/New Jersey area as well as in New York and Dallas/Fort Worth throughout his musical career. He has performed in multiple genres including rock, pop, metal, and country; both covers and original material.
Prior to The Look, Joe was lead singer and keyboardist for over 15 years for The Tone Cats in venues across Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Iowa. He can also sometimes be seen behind a sax or harmonica.
Joe released a solo album in 2007, and participated in Season 3 of The Voice in Los Angeles in 2012.
Primary musical influences are ELO (Jeff Lynne), Billy Joel, Queen, and Elvis.
Daryl Hesch - Guitar and Vocals
Daryl has been performing live for many years, including 10 years with Utter Chaos and a short stint with Bad Weather. He is very well versed in the local music scene, playing bars, private parties, and even the occasional large stage.
He plays lead guitar with great stage presence, but holds down rhythm when it's someone else's time to shine. Daryl adds background vocals and even the occasional lead.
Musical influences include Eric Clapton, Carlos Santana, and the Beatles.
Daryl Banttari - Bass Guitar and Vocals
Daryl sang bass in choir in high school, and played drums for years in his basement before joining a local original band. There, he discovered that just about the only way to find a reliable bass player is to become one. He's been playing bass since 2011.
Influences include Alice in Chains and Rage Against the Machine, Tool.
The band's Daryls never tire of Newhart references.
Don Donais - Drums and Vocals
For the last 40 years, Don has been part of the music scene. He honed his musical skills by listening to the likes of Buddy Rich, Phil Collins, Carter Beauford, and David Grohl. His musical tastes range between classic, 80's, 90's, R&B, Country Rock and much more.
Don enjoys playing drums in the sand and hauling his gear between the rain drops! He especially has enjoyed playing with the many different musicians over the years and hopes to continue that for many more.
