Tommy Gun is a professional six-piece variety band featuring sensational female and male lead vocalists and supporting vocals that round out our set list. Hitting the Twin Cities area music scene in 2017, we’ve continue to make a name for ourselves playing at events, weddings and local watering holes.
A group made up of long-time musical veterans, our love of music and experience putting on great shows shines through in our performances. From classic rock to pop rock to modern country, we deliver an energetic and fun show, that appeals to a wide variety of musical tastes.
We can provide a full sound and lights or use your in-house system. For booking please contact Daryl H. at 763-286-3288.
Tommie Hollingsworth - Lead and Backing Vocals
Tommie (with an "ie"!) is the lead singer. She was an opera major at UMD, and has since decided that performing some twangy stuff is markedly more fun, and loves playing with her Tommy Gun dudes. Tommie began singing with The Monday's in Small Town, WI, and has covered with Minneapolis bands Stone Daisy and Whiskey Canyon.
Her two favorite things are singing and beer, and her plans in the future include "crazy cat lady."
Her favorite song is Crazy by Patsy Cline.
Adrianne Prettyman - Lead and Backing Vocals
Our newest member of the group, Adrianne is a classically trained soprano and pianist who prefers to belt gritty vocals with her tambourine. After studying music business and vocal performance at the University of St. Thomas, she bought a one-way ticket to NYC and landed a job with Sony BMG. She learned a lot about the industry – the good, the bad, and the ugly – then shifted her career while remaining active in various music ensembles.
Upon returning to her Twin Cities roots, she performed in professional choral groups, was a featured vocalist in local cover bands, and served 2+ years as the soprano in vocal harmony group, Sawyer’s Dream, before joining Tommy Gun. She has also recently kicked off her current original indie rock duo project, Space Hug in 2021.
Joe Vitullo - Lead and Backing Vocals, Keyboards
Joe is "West Philadelphia, born and raised" and has played in bands in the Philly/New Jersey area as well as in New York and Dallas/Fort Worth throughout his musical career. He has performed in multiple genres including rock, pop, metal, and country; both covers and original material.
Prior to Tommy Gun, Joe was lead singer and keyboardist for 15 years for The Tone Cats in venues across Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Iowa. He can also sometimes be seen behind a sax or harmonica.
Joe released a solo album in 2007, and participated in Season 3 of The Voice in Los Angeles in 2012.
Primary musical influences are ELO, Billy Joel, Queen, and Elvis.
Daryl Hesch - Guitar and Vocals
Daryl has been performing live for many years, including 10 years with Utter Chaos and a short stint with Bad Weather. He his very well versed in the local music scene, playing bars, private parties, and even the occasional large stage.
He plays lead guitar with great stage presence, but holds down rhythm when it's someone else's time to shine. Daryl adds background vocals and even the occasional lead.
Musical influences include Eric Clapton, Carlos Santana, and the Beatles.
Daryl Banttari - Bass Guitar and Vocals
Daryl sang bass in choir in high school, and played drums for years in his basement before joining a local original band. There, he discovered that just about the only way to find a reliable bass player is to become one. He's been playing bass since 2011.
Influences include Alice in Chains, Rage Against the Machine, Tool, and he wonders every day how he wound up in a country band.
The band's Daryls never tire of Newhart references.
